If you are unable to make it to your scheduled appointment, please call us at 717-633-3603 as soon as possible.
We make every effort to be available to our clients, if you do not call and do not show up to your appointment, that takes time away from others whom we could have helped.
UPDATED 5/28/2020
Hello to all our Little Paws clients,
We are working hard to be able to start allowing the public back into the building for appointments. We again Thank You for your patience and understanding during these COVID-19 restrictions. It is certainly not the way that we like to practice, and we are looking forward to slowly getting into a new normal routine which allows clients into our facilities again.
Our plan is to start loosening some of the restrictions put upon us by the PA State Board of Veterinary Medicine as well as the US Department of Agriculture and CDC. We are going to start allowing clients into the building for scheduled doctor appointments starting on Monday, June 8, 2020. We will continue to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing, limiting the number of people in the building, prohibiting the use of common public areas within the building and cleaning/sanitizing protocols.
Our new protocol as of MONDAY, JUNE 8, 2020 is as follows:
Clinic hours will be open Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm. We will be expanding hours and adding back in some evening appointments in mid- July. We are going back to full staff which should help our process go a little more smoothly. Please continue to be patient with us. There may be times that are busier than others.
Doors will remain locked so that the number of people/animals in the building stays at a minimum.
Clients must call from the parking lot when they arrive for their appointment. A staff member will escort the patient along with ONE HEALTHY, MASKED family member into the building and directly into an exam room for the appointment. Please have cats in carriers and dogs on their leashes for safe travel into the clinic.
*If you would prefer to not enter the building with your pet for the exam, we will continue to offer our current curbside service.
*IF YOU ARE SICK IN ANY WAY, PLEASE HAVE A HEALTHY FAMILY MEMBER BRING YOUR PET FOR THE APPOINTMENT OR RESCHEDULE IF POSSIBLE.
The Little Paws Animal Clinic staff will be wearing masks throughout the appointment. We would ask that clientele do the same. Our staff has worked especially hard to stay healthy so that we can be here for you and your pets. We do not want to put our staff or clientele in harm’s way.
Public areas of the clinic (restrooms and lobby seating) are closed until further notice.
Clients will remain in the exam room through check out and will then be escorted back outside.
Technician appointments, medication/food pick-up and sample drop-offs will continue to be curbside service only.
*These guidelines are subject to change at any time based on current mandates and recommendations from the PA State Board of Veterinary Medicine, US Department of Agriculture and CDC.
There is one additional change for the month of June. Dr. Charles will be out on medical leave (non-COVID related) until July 6, 2020. While this is not the ideal time to be out, it is unavoidable. In her absence, appointments will be covered by 2 familiar faces to Little Paws, Dr. Applefeld and Dr. Valles. The regular Little Paws staff will all be here for you during this time as well. Dr. Charles will be back as soon as possible and wishes everyone well during her absence.
On behalf of everyone at Little Paws Animal Clinic, THANK YOU once again for your on-going support and understanding. Stay safe and well!
